SAGLA 3/4 Lacrosse Program Information

SAGLA is member of the the Tri-County Region (TCLL) of PAGLA (the Philadelphia Area Girls’ Lacrosse Association).  PAGLA is a Chapter of US Lacrosse.

The SAGLA 3/4 Lacrosse Program welcomes 3rd - 4th grade girls.  The 3/4 teams will play games against teams within the Tri-County and other PAGLA regions.  In contrast to the 5/6 and 7/8 teams there are no levels in the 3/4 program.  The players are evaluated for their skills and evenly distributed amongst the teams.

The 3/4 teams currently play on a smaller field in a 6v6 format with a shot blocker and a two-pass rule,.  SAGLA is considering moving to the PAGLA 7v7 format by adding a GK (Goal Keeper) instead of the shot blocker for the Spring 2016 season.

The 3/4 Program typically runs from March through the end of May with practices two nights a week and games on weekends.  no lacrosse experience is required!  The 3/4 teams also participate in local Play Days and Tournaments including SAGLA's own Play Day.  In addition the 3/4 Program participates in SAGLA High School Night and SAGLA Fun Night.

US Lacrosse membership is not required in order to participate in the SAGLA 3/4 Lacrosse Program.
