Souderton Area Girl's Lacrosse Association (SAGLA):  Home of Spark's Lacrosse

SAGLA was established by dedicated group of local coaches on the basis of providing girls in 3rd-8th grade the opportunity to learn the game of lacrosse in a positive, fun, and supportive environment.  SAGLA is member of the the East Region of PAGLA (the Philadelphia Area Girls’ Lacrosse Association).  PAGLA is a Chapter of US Lacrosse.

SAGLA is not only focused on developing good lacrosse skills and a love for the game but is an organization committed to providing our youth athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience.  SAGLA has embraced the philosophy of the Positive Coaching Alliance and the Double Goal Coaching philosophy.  The first goal is preparing and playing to win, and the second, more-important goal is teaching life lessons through sports.

SAGLA offers a K-2 introductory lacrosse program, a 3/4 (no levels) lacrosse program, "Red" and "White" (5th/6th and 7th/8th grade B-Level) lacrosse programs and a "Gold" competitive lacrosse (5th/6th and 7th/8th grade A-level) program with tryouts in the fall for the following season.  In 2018 SAGLA is celebrating 16 successful years of 3rd through 8th grade youth lacrosse (and its third year of K-2 lacrosse) along with hosting a yearly tournament attended by 50+ teams in 2017!

SAGLA Scoopers K-2 Lacrosse Program

The SAGLA Scoopers K-2 Lacrosse Program is for girls from Kindergarten through 2nd grade! Spring 2016 was the inaugural season for the program with over 30 girls participating and growing to over 50 girls in the Spring of 2017! The Scoopers program is geared to help our youngest players learn the basics of girl's lacrosse while having a TON OF FUN! Players go over the fundamentals of the game and play FUN games to work on those skills!  The program's success and future will continue to depend on the support of parent volunteers.

The Scoopers program continues to evolve.  The Scoopers participated in their first local Play Day in June 2017 at Wissahickon! For the Spring 2018 season, the Scoopers will have two distinct groups:  K-1st Grade and 2nd Grade.  The Scoopers 2nd Grade will have have the opportunity to participate in a local Play Day.
